The school was founded in 1962, and has a long history, with the educational philosophy of “being immaculately dressed, excellent in character and learning, excellent in skills” and the representative colors of purple and green. At present, the teaching building has three floors, including 14 classrooms and 6 laboratories. The school also has a library, music room, dance room, material room, computer room, medical room, etc. There are 13 teachers and the headmaster, Ms. Arunee Jirayanaon, is a doctor of Education Management. And there are 222 students, including 61 kindergarten students, divided into 3 grades; 161 primary school students, divided into 6 grades. Influenced by the Chinese culture of Chinatown community, the school started Chinese education in 1989 and is now a public primary school under the Office of the Basic Education Commission of Thailand. The school offers courses in Thai language, mathematics, science, Chinese, English, society, history, ideology and morality, geography, sports, art, occupation and technology, computer, etc. The school pays attention to the development of students’ comprehensive quality. In addition to normal teaching and learning, there are many lectures and practical courses offered inside and outside the school. Every year, the school will hold many lectures by experts and monks, organize boy scout training, and lead students to visit and study in 23 off-campus practice bases, such as Chinatown History Museum, the community market, the Rare Stone Museum, the Central Hospital, and Chulalongkorn University. The school pays attention to the development of students’ physical and psychological health and the shaping of their outlook on life, values and world outlook, and strives to cultivate talents with all-round ability in areas such as morals, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics and art. |
